Kykuit, the Rockefeller Estate. This grand mansion was home to four generations of the Rockefeller family and is now a historic site of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Guided tours of the main house and its gardens and art galleries are available through Historic Hudson Valley. All Kykuit tours depart from Philipsburg Manor, 381 North Broadway, Sleepy Hollow, 914-631-8200 Monday through Friday or 914-631-3992 on weekends.
2012 schedule: May 5 to November 4 daily (closed Tuesday). Philipsburg Manor visitor center opens at 9am.
